Millions around the world suffer from joint pains and in most cases, this is due to underlying osteoarthritis. With a growing number of young and old actively participating in sports or going to the gym joint pains have become an ever-increasing problem. Whether it be sudden or chronic injury due to repetitive joint use sometimes even from simple day to day movements, the end result is pain. In other cases, it may not be the joint itself but rather the soft tissue surrounding the joint as in cases of injuries resulting in tears or inflammation in the form of tendinitis, tendinosis, or tendinopathies.

For years medicine could only offer two lines of treatments, medications in the form of anti-inflammatory and pain killers or surgical intervention, each carrying its unique and sometimes dramatic side effects that may in cases surpass the patient’s original complaint.
